Jo Anne Johnson was born and raised in the Houston area, and is proud to be a 5th generation Texan. She was raised by Hank and Sandy Saunders in the 'burbs, and has one amazing husband because nobody else would put up with her nonsense and ridiculous hours, and two beautiful children, one who is currently in elementary school in the same 'burbs Jo Anne grew up in, and one who was recently shipped off to UTSA.
Jo Anne came late to education, earned an AAS in Multimedia and Web Design in 2002 from the Art Institute of Houston, a BA in English from University of Houston - Victoria in 2010, and an MEd in Adult and Higher Education with a minor in English in 2013. She is currently working on a PhD in English at Texas A&M - Commerce and teaching Freshman English for Houston Community College.
Occasionally, when she can't sleep, she pours her life into works of writing, audio, and video. Her dream is to publish something that inspires somebody else to do something great with their own lives, or to be Anne Rice, whichever comes first.
